MYTH COLOSSUS / COLOSSUS AT RHODES

Colossus of Rhodes (also known as Myth Colossus) was a massive statue of the sun God Helios. It was created to celebrate the Roman victory against the Macedonians invasion.In addition, it celebrated the assistance from Egypt. Without Egypt's assistance the invasion would've been a majour defeat. Colousses was similar to the Lighthouse of Alexandria because it guided incoming sailors with a bright torch. The statue was made out of left over shields, weapons, and armor.Eventually it collapsed during an earthquake. Later the left-over ruble was sold for scraps by the Arabian government.
